After Growing Power’s dream of a 5 story Vertical Farm in Milwaukee was kicked into 2018 falling after the infamous Non-Profit’s bankruptcy, Ultimate Farm Collaborative Inc. began research and documentation to continue work towards the dream goal.
The Urban Farm was a beautiful Headquarters for our fresh and eager start-up Design Agency. Everyday life and work consisted of researching plants, moving soil, and breathwork inside the historical greenhouse facility holding lake perch and an abundance of bio-diversity within such a compact urban space.
Quality of life felt hopeful, better, and abundant within the architecture. Recreating spaces like this became a new goal for Ultimate Farm Collaborative inc. The site contained solar energy in two forms, water collection, composting, animals, and tropical plants in a Midwest environment; heavily populated on Milwaukee’s north side.
The dynamics and economic factors which produced the wisdom gained from 5500 w Silver Spring Dr. were rigorous and stressful however delivered beautiful lessons.
